Ki Timbul Hadiprayitno, Maestro of Wayang from Yogyakarta

Ki Timbul Hadiprayitno is a senior dalang of Yogjakarta/Mataraman style of performance. He is also one of the favourite dalang of the late Indonesia president Soeharto.

Timbul was known for his commitment to staging wayang kulit puppet performances, in keeping with Indonesia's cultural heritage tradition. Timbul had been known to always refuse when asked to stage a performance mixed with live comedy.

Timbul was also once the favorite puppet master of the late president Soeharto. He often won prizes for his shows, but was most loved by the people of Yogyakarta who loved his shows
